The results of the national competitions "Best Spouses" and "A Child is a Joy for Parents" have been announced in Dushanbe, marking the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence. The National News Agency "Khovar" reported this.

The winner of the "Best Spouses" competition was Nurkhon Jurakhonzoda from the Dangara district of Khatlon region. Karina Shonazarova from Khorog in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region was named the best child, taking first place in her category.

The events were organized by the Committee for Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan as part of the "State Program for Family Development in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024–2028." The competitions aim to strengthen the institution of the family, support family values, and enhance the role of children in societal development.

During the ceremonies, participants and guests noted the importance of strengthening family relationships as a key factor in the country's social development. It was noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan guarantees equality between men and women (Article 17) and also provides for the protection of the family as an important social institution (Article 33).

The competitions, held in a festive atmosphere, reflected the state and government's success in building strong families, raising a new generation, and creating conditions for the harmonious development of children.
