A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan. The event was attended by Interior Minister Colonel General Ramazon Rahimzoda, Secretary of the Security Council of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf Akhmadzoda, police officers and veterans, and invited guests, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs press center.
In his speech, the head of the department emphasized that independence allowed Tajikistan to establish itself as an ancient country with a rich culture, peaceful traditions, and significant historical achievements.
On behalf of Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, the participants were congratulated by Security Council Secretary Rahmon Yusuf Akhmadzod, who noted that the republic has achieved significant success over the years of independence thanks to the wise policies of the head of state.
During the meeting, 41 police officers were awarded state awards for their high professionalism and contribution to law enforcement. More than 600 officers received departmental commendations, 21 officers were promoted to the rank of colonel, and over 40 received further special ranks.
The awards were presented by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ramazon Rahimzoda and the Secretary of the Security Council Rahmon Yusuf Akhmadzoda.
Following the event, the Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel expressed gratitude to the country's leadership and reaffirmed their loyalty to the oath and their readiness to serve the independent Tajik people and state.
