On September 10, 2025, a meeting of the Expert Group on the Application of Information Technologies and Systems in the Sphere of Border Security of the CIS Member States was held via videoconference.
Representatives of the border agencies of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the Coordination Service of the SKPV took part in the work of the temporary working body of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops.
The meeting was opened by the Head of the Expert Group, Major General V.N. Savenko. The event was moderated by the Advisor to the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel I.V. Cherepkov.
Participants at the expert-level meeting agreed on structured forms for the Automated System for Operational Information Exchange of the Council of Border Troops Commanders and on development directions for automated information exchange, taking into account the use of modern information technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Following the meeting, a Protocol was signed aimed at improving information cooperation between border agencies of the CIS member states.
