A man suspected of causing grievous bodily harm during a dispute at a store in the capital has been detained in Dushanbe. The Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs reported this on Monday.
According to the agency, the incident occurred on September 10 at a liquor store located in the Somon neighborhood. An argument broke out between 37-year-old Bishkek resident H. Rakhimov and 34-year-old Timur Badalov, which escalated into a fight. During the confrontation, Badalov stabbed his opponent in the stomach with scissors, causing bodily injury.
"The suspect has been detained and placed in custody. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 3 of Article 237 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan (Hooliganism)," the department noted.
A preliminary investigation is currently underway in the case.
