Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun met with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kahhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor. Sun He, Counselor for Trade and Economic Affairs at the Chinese Embassy, also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Ambassador Guo Zhijun emphasized that cooperation between China and Tajikistan is close and fruitful. China has traditionally supported the implementation of Tajikistan's national development strategy and its priority objectives. Several major projects implemented by Chinese companies have made a significant contribution to the country's socioeconomic development and improved quality of life. China remains Tajikistan's largest trading partner and leading source of investment.
The diplomat noted that the two countries' leaders reached important new agreements during the SCO Tianjin Summit. China is ready to deepen cooperation bilaterally and within multilateral organizations such as the SCO, expand collaboration between financial institutions, and develop joint projects in artificial intelligence, new technologies, and energy resource development.
Kahhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and noted the fraternal and friendly relations existing between the two countries. He thanked China for its long-term technical and financial support, including for the construction of key facilities such as the new parliament and government buildings of Tajikistan.
The Tajik side expressed its readiness to further expand bilateral trade and investment cooperation, intensify interaction in the private sector, and develop cooperation in the areas of new technologies and renewable energy sources in order to study and apply Chinese experience and technologies.
