The Chairman of the Council of Ulema of Tajikistan, Saidmukarram Abdukodirzoda, was awarded the Honorary Medal of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. This was announced by the forum's organizers.
The award was presented by decree of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at a ceremony during the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which opened on September 17 in Astana.
The Mufti of Tajikistan is participating in a forum that has brought together over 700 delegates from 60 countries. Among them are representatives of various world religions, spiritual leaders, and representatives of international organizations.
The organizers emphasized that the award to Saidmukarram Abdukodirzoda was recognition of his contribution to the development of interreligious dialogue and the strengthening of traditional spiritual values.
The 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions is being chaired by the President of Kazakhstan. The forum focuses on issues of interreligious interaction, strengthening mutual understanding between peoples, and joint contributions to peace and stability.
