A meeting between the agency's director, Sulaimon Said Sultonzoda, and the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) Resident Representative in Tajikistan, Gazi Shbaikat, was held at the central office of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, the agency's press center reported.
During the meeting, Sulaimon Said Sultonzoda welcomed the IMF representative's first visit and wished him success in his official duties. The parties discussed anti-corruption issues within the framework of the "Program for Strengthening Policy Coordination," paying particular attention to the asset declaration process for officials in the republic.
Gazi Shbaikat expressed satisfaction with Tajikistan's anti-corruption policy and noted the Agency's achievements in this area. Both parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation in combating corruption and implementing related initiatives.
The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect. Following the discussion, the parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached would create favorable conditions for expanding the Agency's activities and enhancing the effectiveness of anti-corruption policy in the country.
