Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Nuriddinzoda Akhliddin Nuriddin met with the President of the World Fund Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), Dawood Al-Shezawi. The meeting took place on September 17, 2025, and focused on expanding bilateral economic cooperation, the ministry's press service reported .
During the talks, Nuriddinzoda emphasized that, thanks to the wise policies of the leaders of both countries—President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan—relations between the two countries have reached a high level. It was noted that mutual trade turnover more than doubled in the first nine months of 2025.
The parties discussed the need to further expand trade and realize untapped opportunities in key sectors, including industry, green energy, agriculture, aviation, tourism, and logistics. Particular attention was paid to infrastructure development, attracting foreign investment, and implementing modern technologies.
The meeting participants also emphasized Tajikistan's extensive potential for implementing large-scale regional projects, including the development of renewable energy sources, the production and processing of agricultural products, and the creation of industrial clusters.
Following the talks, the parties expressed confidence that cooperation between Tajikistan and the UAE within the AIM platform will contribute to strengthening economic ties, increasing trade turnover, and implementing mutual investment projects.
