On September 13, 2025, three traffic accidents occurred in Tajikistan, resulting in the deaths of four people, including two children, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The first accident occurred on the Dushanbe-Kulyab highway in the Dangara district. The driver of a DJNGFEYG AEJLUS L7 electric vehicle, Firdavs Isroilovich Davlatov, born in 1979, a resident of the Vose district, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Toyota Swish driven by Khurshed Nematov, born in 1990, a resident of the Farkhor district. As a result of the collision, the occupants of the Toyota Swish—Saidova Sadaf, born in 1973, and Temurzoda's child, Zakiya Mehrob, born in 2019—died in the hospital. Another passenger in the electric vehicle, Saodat Fayzovna Davlatova, born in 1971, a resident of Dushanbe, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
In the second accident on the Dushanbe-Yavan highway, the electric scooter driver, Khabibullo Alisherovich Eshpulatov, born in 2008, a resident of the Rudaki district, lost control and collided with a Khovo truck driven by Oybek Urozovich Davlatov, born in 1993, a resident of the Yavan district. As a result of the accident, the teenager died at the scene.
The third accident occurred in Penjikent. The driver of a Weimar, Abdukhodir Askaralievich Sultonov, born in 2005, struck a minor scooter rider, Zukhal Atamovich Berdiyorov, born in 2009. The child died at the scene from his injuries.
According to law enforcement agencies, all three accidents are under investigation, and measures are being taken to establish the circumstances of the incidents and hold those responsible accountable. The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized the need to comply with traffic regulations, with particular attention to the safety of children and passengers.
