The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan has refuted a video that appeared on social media claiming that cancer can be cured with cow's milk. The ministry's press service reported this.
In a published video, Aloviddin Saidakhmadov, a resident of the village of Gulzor in the Kushoniyon district, claimed to have "cured" cancer. The Ministry of Health clarified that the man has no medical training or license.
According to oncologists in the Khatlon region, the patient whom Saidakhmadov presented as "cured of cancer" was in fact diagnosed with a stomach ulcer.
"Cancer is a serious disease that can be treated exclusively with scientifically proven modern medical methods: surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and targeted drugs. No food product, including cow's milk, can replace comprehensive treatment," the ministry emphasized.
The ministry also warned citizens against relying on unreliable information online and urged them to seek medical advice only from authorized medical institutions. The Ministry of Health noted that the dissemination of such "advice" poses a threat to patients' health, as it can lead to late diagnosis and complications.
