Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun met with representatives of Chinese mining companies operating in the country's northern regions, according to the Chinese diplomatic mission in Dushanbe.
Representatives of 13 Chinese-invested mining companies and contractors attended the meeting in Khujand. They presented reports on their production and business activities and discussed their development prospects.
Ambassador Guo Zhijun noted the significant contribution of Chinese enterprises to economic cooperation between China and Tajikistan. He emphasized the importance of their participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, developing mutually beneficial partnerships, and fulfilling social obligations that contribute to strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
"It is necessary to prioritize production safety, improve working conditions, and strengthen cooperation between companies in order to make new contributions to deepening the China-Tajikistan comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era," the diplomat said.
During his visit, the ambassador also visited TBEA in the Aininsky District, where he learned about the implementation of the Eastern Duoba project, measures to ensure occupational safety, and the living conditions of employees.
