A delegation from Tajikistan participated in the Fourth Central Asia Peering and Interconnection Forum, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on September 25–26, 2025. This was reported by the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Network operators, internet service providers, representatives of internet exchange points, regulators, and industry experts participated in the forum. The main goal of the event was to strengthen internet connections in Central Asian countries, Iran, and neighboring states, create conditions for exchanging experiences, and expand cooperation in internet infrastructure development.
The forum highlighted the importance of developing and expanding internet services, improving the industry's infrastructure, enhancing the internet's role in various economic sectors, and implementing ongoing reforms in this area in Tajikistan.
Tajikistan has expressed interest in expanding regional and transregional connections to ensure effective integration and collaboration between network operators and internet providers. Implementing these initiatives will improve the quality of internet services and strengthen the digital infrastructure of the country and the region.
