In the Zafarabad district, an official ceremony was held to mark the start of asphalt paving on the Zafarabad-Hamid Aliyev-Guliston-Dusti road, with the participation of Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda, the regional administration's press service reported .
The total length of the road is 3.2 kilometers and its width is 6 meters. Road surface alignment work has been fully completed, and the main construction work is planned to be completed promptly and to a high standard.
The project is being implemented with funding from the executive authorities of the Sughd region. The contracting work is being carried out by Vahdat-2018 LLC.
During a meeting with residents and officials, Rajab Ahmadzoda noted that hundreds of significant facilities will be built and commissioned in the region in time for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence. The regional governor gave specific instructions on ensuring high-quality asphalt paving work.
According to the State Institution for Road Maintenance of the Zafarabad District, the region has 398 kilometers of international, national, and local roads. As of September 20, 6 kilometers of roads were fully paved, 67 kilometers were undergoing routine repairs, and 25 kilometers were paved with crushed stone.
During his working visit, the regional governor also met with labor veterans Tukhsanbey Mirzoboev and Anora Khodzhaeva, who have made significant contributions to the district's development over many years, particularly in agriculture. Rajab Akhmadzoda recognized their achievements and provided financial assistance.
