In Dushanbe, First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Nematzoda met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sayyid Ali Asad Gilani, who is in Tajikistan to participate in political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which took place in Dushanbe on September 29-30. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, issues of strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of land transport, railways, development of logistics infrastructure, and expansion of transit capabilities were discussed.
The parties expressed their readiness to develop joint projects, including the creation of logistics centers, to increase freight traffic between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
The need to strengthen trade and economic ties and involve the private sector in strategic cooperation was also emphasized.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
