Huseyn Alizoda, a biology teacher at the Omar Khayyam Lyceum in Dushanbe, has been named the winner of the national "Teacher of the Year in Tajikistan 2025" competition. The awards ceremony took place on October 4 at the Surush Palace in Dushanbe as part of Teacher's Day celebrations, according to the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As noted by the department, the competition is held annually to improve the level and quality of education, support talented and creative teachers, and enhance the authority and prestige of the teaching profession. The event promotes the exchange of professional experience and the development of teaching excellence among teachers across the country.
Based on the evaluation by the competition committee, Hussein Alizoda was recognized as the best teacher of the year. He was awarded the Competition Cup, a Diploma, and a cash prize of 30,000 somoni.
"The 'Teacher of the Year in Tajikistan' competition has become an important tradition in the country's education system. It encourages teachers to improve their skills, implement innovative teaching methods, and instill in the younger generation a spirit of patriotism and civic responsibility," the Ministry of Education and Science emphasized.
In addition, active and distinguished participants of the competition were awarded the honorary badge "Excellent Education and Science Worker of Tajikistan" and special gifts.
The organizers noted that this year's competition attracted a wide range of teachers from all regions of the republic, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, creativity, and dedication to teaching and education.
