Temporary restrictions on all types of traffic have been imposed on the Dushanbe-Chanok highway from October 8 to 10, according to the Tajikistan branch of Innovative Road Solutions Ltd. , which operates the highway.
The company clarified that the restrictive measures are related to high-level international events being held in Dushanbe. From October 8 to 10, the highway will generally remain open to traffic; however, depending on the current traffic situation and safety requirements, traffic on certain sections, primarily in the Varzob area, may be temporarily suspended.
"We ask drivers to be understanding of these temporary measures and take them into account when planning their routes. It is recommended that you adjust your departure time in advance to avoid congestion and inconvenience," noted representatives of Innovative Road Solutions Ltd.
According to road services, during the restrictions, traffic on the highway will be controlled by traffic police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, who will ensure order and coordinate traffic flows.
It is noted that on these days, an increase in traffic load on alternative routes is also possible, in particular, on access roads to Varzob and surrounding settlements.
The measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of road users and creating conditions for the unimpeded movement of official delegations arriving in the capital for international meetings.
