Construction of an industrial park in the Shugnan district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region has begun. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on October 7, attended by Mirzonabod Governor Alisher Khudoberdi. This was reported by the regional administration's press service.
The construction of the industrial park is being carried out on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in honor of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence, as well as within the framework of the implementation of the "Years of Industrial Development" announced for 2022–2026.
The industrial park will occupy an area of 1,830 square meters and will include five small manufacturing enterprises. Their operations will focus on the production of metal mesh, plastic doors and windows, concrete products, and fruit and vegetable processing.
According to the regional administration, this project will create new jobs and contribute to the development of the region's industrial potential. The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026.
Mirzonabod Regional Chairman Alisher Khudoberdi expressed gratitude to the district's entrepreneurs for their active participation in implementing state industrial policy and emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality construction work. He emphasized that the industrial park being created will be a key driver of economic growth in the region and will increase local employment.
