Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded his state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan and his participation in the Central Asia–Russia Summit, as well as the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
A farewell ceremony for the distinguished guest took place at Dushanbe International Airport. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, greeted the President of the Russian Federation with deep respect and sincere warmth.
The Russian head of state's visit, which took place from October 8 to 12, 2025, marked a significant milestone in the development of bilateral relations between Moscow and Dushanbe. During the high-level talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strategic partnership, alliance, and cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and defense spheres.
Following the visit, 16 new cooperation documents were signed, including the key Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Russian Federation on further deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries. The document was signed by Emomali Rahmon and Vladimir Putin.
A number of significant and mutually beneficial agreements were also reached in Dushanbe during two major regional events: the Central Asia–Russia Summit and the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
Tajikistan, particularly its capital, Dushanbe, once again demonstrated the high level of organization of international meetings and the hospitality and peace-loving nature of the Tajik people. Under the leadership of its wise leader, President Emomali Rahmon, the country has demonstrated that it is a reliable partner, a country of peace, friendship, and fruitful cooperation.
To honor the distinguished guest's farewell, the square in front of the Dushanbe airport was decorated with the national flags of the two countries and portraits of the leaders of Tajikistan and Russia. A red carpet was rolled out for the ceremony, flanked by Honor Guard officers. The atmosphere of the farewell symbolized the deep bonds of friendship and mutual respect between Tajikistan and Russia.
