Farmers in the Bobojon Gafurov district of Sughd region intend to harvest 18,254 tons of cotton this growing season, according to the district's executive authority.
As of October 7, farmers in the region have already harvested 9,748.7 tons of cotton, 53.4% of the planned harvest. Harvesting continues at all farms in the district, with modern machinery and equipment being used in the harvesting campaign, increasing labor productivity and the quality of the harvested cotton.
In the Bobojon Gafurov district, the Yusuf Sarkor cotton processing plant has signed cooperation agreements with private farms. During the cotton sowing and growing season, the plant provided agricultural producers with essential support, including seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural assistance.
The plant has already begun processing incoming cotton. Its production capacity allows for the timely receipt and processing of raw materials using modern equipment and advanced technologies. Experts note that this ensures high-quality end products and contributes to the development of cotton farming in the region.
District authorities emphasized that successful implementation of the cotton harvest plan is crucial for the region's economy and will contribute to strengthening the country's export potential.
