President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon met with Saudi Arabian Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih at the Dushanbe-Invest-2025 International Investment Forum. The press service of the head of state reported this.
During the conversation, issues of developing bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as ways to further strengthen economic ties, were discussed.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of interaction and praised the activities of the Saudi Fund for Development in Tajikistan, which is implementing a number of socially significant and infrastructure projects.
President Emomali Rahmon noted that Tajikistan attaches great importance to expanding its trade, economic, and investment partnership with Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that attracting Saudi investment is crucial for implementing projects in such areas as light and textile industries, pharmaceuticals, construction materials production, mineral processing, and energy.
During the negotiations, special attention was paid to intensifying the work of bilateral cooperation mechanisms and developing direct ties between the business communities of the two countries.
It was noted that the launch of flights on the Dushanbe-Jeddah-Dushanbe route was a shining example of successful and fruitful cooperation, contributing to the strengthening of trade, economic, and humanitarian ties.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest and expressed confidence that cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia will continue to develop in the spirit of mutual trust and partnership.
