For the second night in a row, Russian forces launched massive airstrikes on Kyiv. The attack, which took place on Sunday night, killed three people and injured more than 30, including six children. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on Telegram.
According to him, seven people, including two children, were hospitalized. The youngest of the victims is six years old.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, clarified that the total number of wounded was 31 people.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, fires broke out in the Desnyansky district of the city as a result of airstrikes and falling drone debris. Thirteen people were rescued from the upper floors of a nine-story residential building as a result of the fire. Windows on the first through ninth floors of the 16-story building were blown out.
More than 100 rescuers and more than 20 pieces of equipment were deployed to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
The day before, on October 25, two people were killed and 12 more were wounded as a result of similar nighttime shelling of Kyiv.
