Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have agreed to expand cooperation in the energy sector, according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On October 30, 2025, in Dushanbe, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan Walid ibn Abdulrahman Ar-Reshaidon.
During the conversation, the parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on further expansion of cooperation in the areas of energy, oil and gas, and water resources.
The parties agreed to jointly implement projects in the areas of green energy sources, exploration and production of new oil and gas fields, and sustainable water resource management.
The Minister of Energy and Water Resources emphasized that the Republic of Tajikistan places particular emphasis on developing mutually beneficial relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is prepared to continue active cooperation in implementing these joint projects.
