A dormitory for teachers of Secondary Comprehensive School No. 7 has been built and opened in the village of Siyokhfark, part of the Shugnov rural community in the Khovaling district. This was reported by NIAT Khovar, citing the Khovaling district executive authorities.
The dormitory's construction was reportedly carried out on a voluntary basis (khashar) with the participation of local entrepreneurs in the village of Siyokhfark. The building provides comfortable living conditions for 21 teachers.
The two-story building, with a total cost of 1 million somoni, includes seven bedrooms for three people, two family rooms, a kitchen and four bathrooms.
In accordance with the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon, the Khovaling district executive authorities are taking measures to enhance the status of teachers and improve their working and living conditions. One of the key initiatives is providing teachers with housing.
As noted by the local administration, the main goal of the state and government is to improve the quality of education in general education institutions, prepare the future generation with modern knowledge for the country's socioeconomic development, strengthen the state, and protect historical territories.
According to Article 53 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Education," teachers and other education workers enjoy various benefits. Specifically, teachers who are receiving state-funded housing for the first time or who require improved living conditions are provided with housing or a plot of land for building a house in accordance with established procedures.
In addition, for teachers who are building housing for the first time, the law provides for the provision of interest-free or preferential loans from extra-budgetary funds or credit institutions.
