A scientific and practical conference on the topic "Counteracting corruption is the key to developing the education sector" was held at Dushanbe General Education School No. 19. The event presented anti-corruption measures implemented in the capital's schools using digital solutions, the Main Education Department of Dushanbe reported.
The conference participants emphasized that corruption remains one of the most acute social problems of our time, hindering the development of society and the state. Particular attention was paid to the need to eradicate bribery and extortion, which were called "more dangerous than terrorism and extremism."
In order to strengthen anti-corruption control, the Main Education Department has established cooperation with the state unitary enterprise Smart City. As a result, 99 general education institutions in Dushanbe are connected to the electronic platform Smart Pay, designed for making cashless payments.
Schools are also equipped with POS terminals, which completely eliminates the circulation of cash in educational institutions. Payments are made through bank cards, electronic wallets of domestic banks and QR codes, which ensures the transparency of financial transactions and prevents the possibility of corruption.
Additionally, the eDonish platform has been introduced, which enables electronic admission of students to the first grade. This eliminates the human factor in the enrollment process and minimizes the risk of abuse.
Preschool institutions have begun to use the digital system Kudak.tj, which automates the processes of admission and care of children, and also regulates the internal activities of kindergartens, promoting transparency and reducing corruption risks.
According to the organizers, the introduction of modern information systems strengthens trust between the school, parents and the state, and also increases the efficiency of the provision of educational services.
