During the first half of 2025, the Agency for Supervision of Education and Science under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan did not receive any official complaints from parents or other citizens regarding the collection of funds for repairs in general education institutions. This was reported by the Director of the Agency, Muhammadtoir Saidzoda, at a press conference in Dushanbe.
“Over the first six months of this year, the Agency has not received a single written request or complaint related to the collection of funds for repairs in schools,” Saidzoda noted.
He specified that the only letter of this kind came from the Ayni district of the Sughd region. One of the points of the appeal contained information about the possible collection of money in schools. According to the director, after receiving the letter, a special working group was created, which went to the site to study the situation.
"The fact of collecting funds during the inspection was not confirmed. The complaint was not objectively confirmed," the head of the department said.
Muhammadtoir Saidzoda emphasized that issues of the inadmissibility of forced collection of funds from parents are under the special control of the Agency and will be considered as a priority upon receipt of relevant signals.
