In the first six months of 2025, 5,389 people completed short-term vocational training courses in primary vocational education institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan. This is 543 people more than in the same period last year, the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the country reported at a press conference on July 30.

Training of workers is carried out in 66 institutions in 14 areas and 300 professions and specialties – 165 more than in the first half of 2024.
It is also reported that in the 2024-2025 academic year, distance learning centers will be opened at vocational schools in the Shugnan district, the city of Bokhtar, as well as in the communications and automobile transport sector of Dushanbe. Here, citizens master in-demand professions and computer literacy skills. In the first half of the year, 321 people completed training at these centers, and another 125 are undergoing training in five study groups.
