The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting of the first interdepartmental working group to prepare the draft National Development Program of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, the press service of the ministry reported .
The event was chaired by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and brought together the heads and representatives of a number of key ministries and departments of the country.
During the meeting, Zavqizoda noted that the development of the draft Program is being carried out in pursuance of the instructions set out in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and is aimed at achieving the strategic goals of the state. He emphasized the importance of the active participation of all stakeholders in the process of preparing the document, taking into account the challenges of our time and the priorities of sustainable development.
According to the presented project, the Program is based on such areas as digitalization of the economy, industrialization, implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, support for scientific research and inventive activity, development of human capital, as well as innovation-oriented growth.
Representatives of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministers of Justice, Finance, Transport, Labor, Migration and Employment, Energy and Water Resources, the Chairman of the National Bank, heads of relevant agencies and other officials spoke during the discussion. In their speeches, they voiced specific proposals and comments on improving the draft Program.
It is noted that the National Development Program for 2026–2030 will be the third stage of the implementation of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030.
Following the meeting, the results of the discussion were summed up, the proposals received were systematized, and further steps for finalizing the document were determined, as well as a schedule for subsequent consultations with stakeholders.
