The RVB company (the united company Wildberries & Russ) became a partner of the Central Asian International Economic Forum, which took place on July 22 in Dushanbe. The company's top managers took part in discussion panels, where the role of e-commerce in the development of the region was discussed.
Wildberries is already one of the leaders in online trading in Central Asia and a reliable economic partner for the entire region: the company entered the market of Kazakhstan in 2014, Kyrgyzstan in 2021, and Uzbekistan in 2022. The platform began operating in Tajikistan in April 2025, but has already set ambitious goals for the development of logistics infrastructure and support for local producers.
On the sidelines of the forum, Wildberries signed a strategic agreement with the Tajik company DS Market (part of the Avesto holding). The partnership provides for the launch of warehouse capacities and the opening of up to 40 order pick-up points across the country by the end of 2025. This will speed up the delivery of goods and provide local producers with access to both the domestic market and foreign markets where Wildberries is present.
"We are proud that the platform helps to establish connections between countries and promotes the growth of small and medium businesses. Thanks to our technological base and logistics, entrepreneurs gain access to new markets without barriers," emphasized Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim.
The company pays special attention to supporting women entrepreneurs: today 58% of sellers on the platform are women, while in Central Asia their share is only 18-25%. Wildberries conducts training for women entrepreneurs and implements regional initiatives, for example, together with the Association of Women of Uzbekistan and the Women in Tech Kyrgyzstan project.
"With the development of digital platforms, the threshold for entering business has significantly decreased; now, all you need to open and run your own business is a smartphone. Digital platforms open up new opportunities for women entrepreneurs, thereby stimulating their business activity and involvement in the economy. I am confident that women's entrepreneurship can become a social lift for women and, in general, strengthen their economic role in Central Asia. This is an important step towards gender balance, financial independence, and new horizons for the development of women's entrepreneurship in the region," Kim noted.
The PRO WB entrepreneur support program, which was also launched in Tajikistan, supports entrepreneurs at all stages — from registering on the marketplace to scaling up their business. It includes business training, master classes, and promotion of local brands. Thanks to their access to the platform and support programs, Uzbek sellers have sold textile products worth over $1 billion to other countries where Wildberries is present in two years.
The company currently operates in ten markets, including Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and also cooperates with sellers from China and the UAE.
