The delegation of the International tourist expedition "Journey to the Heart of Eurasia" arrived in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. This was reported by the National Information Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar".
The expedition started on June 6 in Moscow and ended on July 20 in Dushanbe, having covered more than 8,000 kilometers in 45 days through the territory of five countries – Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The delegation included about a hundred participants – representatives of ministries, departments, media, bloggers, volunteers and students.
In the capital's Chorbog microdistrict, the participants were greeted by representatives of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the leadership of Dushanbe. A cultural program with elements of national traditions and customs of the Tajik people was organized for the guests.
During the route, the delegation visited the largest cities of the region: Moscow, Kazan, Ufa, Aktobe, Shymkent, Bishkek, Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khujand, Penjikent and others. The final point of the route was Dushanbe, where one of the key events was held on July 22 – the First International Economic Forum of Central Asia.
The purpose of the expedition is to strengthen interregional ties, develop humanitarian and tourist cooperation, and transmit symbolic messages of friendship between the cities of Eurasia. For example, messages are transmitted from Moscow to Dushanbe, Orenburg to Khujand, Kyzylorda to Penjikent, Aralsk to Kulyab.
During the trip, the participants planted "friendship seedlings" and honored the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War by laying wreaths at the Eternal Flame in each city. In addition, the expedition organized more than 150 meetings, forums, and events of a scientific, educational, and cultural nature.
By July 26, the participants will visit 11 more cities and regions of Tajikistan, including Dangara, Kulyab, Bokhtar, Nurek and Panj.
A documentary film about the journey is being filmed, the premiere of which is scheduled for October 2025 in Dushanbe as part of one of the international forums.
The expedition “Journey to the Heart of Eurasia” is not just a cultural and historical event, but also an important international initiative aimed at strengthening the unity of Eurasian states and forming new forms of regional cooperation.
