The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting with the newly appointed heads and command staff of the country's security and law enforcement agencies. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
According to the decrees of the President and resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, qualified, young and experienced specialists were appointed to key positions in the structures of national security, defense, justice and drug control.
In particular, the appointments of the Director of the State Institution "National Center of Tajikistan on Mines", the First Deputy and Deputy Director of the Agency for Drug Control under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the heads of its regional divisions were approved. In addition, personnel changes affected the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Punishments of the Ministry of Justice and the Committee for Religious Affairs, Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations and Rituals under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
With the consent of the President, commanders of military units, military commissars in a number of cities and districts, heads of a number of departments of the central office of the State Committee for National Security, the Agency for State Financial Control and the Fight against Corruption, as well as responsible persons in correctional institutions in Dushanbe, Khujand and Yavan were also appointed.
During the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon called on the newly appointed leaders to serve honestly, disciplined and professionally for the benefit of the Motherland. He particularly emphasized the priority of the interests of the state and the people, the need to increase the level of combating crime, especially organized crime, and drug trafficking, and to educate young specialists in the spirit of patriotism, high citizenship and devotion to duty.
The head of state also emphasized the need to eliminate conditions conducive to crime and ensure sustainable protection of the state border and public safety.
