The Committee for Land Management and Geodesy under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Association for Development of Territories of the Russian Federation have reached an agreement on training personnel in the field of land management and land resources management. This was reported by the press service of the department.
The agreement was reached during an official meeting between the Chairman of the State Committee on Land and Geodesy of Tajikistan, Orif Khodjazoda, and the head of the Russian Association for the Development of Territories, Vasil Mazitov. The cooperation envisages training Tajik specialists in modern methods of land management, cadastral registration, and territorial planning.
"The Russian side expressed its readiness to share with Tajikistan its accumulated experience in the field of rational land use and digitalization of cadastral systems. The main focus will be on training qualified specialists who are in demand in the context of the active development of the country's agricultural sector," the Committee noted.
The parties emphasized that this initiative continues the line of sustainable bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture. Earlier, in 2023, the two countries signed agreements on cooperation in the field of melioration and irrigation, and held joint consultations on land reform.
Experts note that the need for professional personnel in this area in Tajikistan has increased significantly against the backdrop of the digital transformation of the land cadastre and the expansion of agricultural land. The introduction of advanced Russian methods, according to experts, will contribute to the effective management of land resources and the sustainable development of the country's agricultural sector.
