Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Sharifzoda received the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Guo Zhijun. The meeting took place in connection with the presentation of copies of credentials, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports .
During the conversation, Sharifzoda warmly congratulated the Chinese diplomat on the start of his mission in Dushanbe and expressed confidence that his activities will contribute to the further strengthening of the strategic partnership and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
“I am confident that your stay in Tajikistan will be fruitful, and cooperation between our countries will be progressive and multifaceted,” the deputy minister noted.
The parties also discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Chinese relations, emphasizing the high level of political dialogue and the active development of cooperation in the areas of economy, infrastructure, education, culture and security.
Guo Zhijun, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and expressed his readiness to make every effort to further expand bilateral cooperation.
