The number of enterprises with Tajik capital in Uzbekistan has reached 357, the National Statistics Committee of the Republic reported. Of these, 89 are joint ventures, and 268 are fully owned by Tajik investors, Gazeta reports.
According to the agency, the total number of enterprises with foreign participation in Uzbekistan amounted to 16,685, which is 20% more than in the same period last year. The share of Tajik companies is about 2%, which puts Tajikistan in seventh place among investor countries.
Tajik investments are concentrated in the areas of industry, energy, logistics and agriculture. Projects to create processing plants and logistics centers are being implemented in border areas. In the energy sector, cooperation is developing in the construction of joint hydroelectric power plants and electricity supplies.
According to the Uzbek side, there are also more than 70 enterprises with Uzbek capital in Tajikistan. Experts note the stable dynamics of bilateral investment cooperation.
