On July 13, during his working visit to the cities and districts of the Sughd region, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon unveiled a memorial plaque and commissioned a new five-story hotel complex "Kaykhon" on the territory of the Khujand International Airport OJSC, the press service of the head of state reported.
The modern hotel complex "Kaihon" is a five-story building built on an area of 3750 square meters. The hotel has a modern conference hall for 40 people, 90 standard rooms, including for high-ranking guests. At the same time, the complex can accommodate up to 188 guests.
The first floor is equipped with comfortable and aesthetic furniture for receiving guests. On this floor there is a corner with national souvenirs and trade pavilions, where tourists and guests can get acquainted with products of folk crafts and buy memorable gifts.
During his tour of the new Kaikhon hotel complex, the President of the country, the respected Emomali Rahmon, spoke with the airport management and staff, highly appreciating the construction work carried out.
With the commissioning of the hotel, more than 30 local residents and domestic specialists received permanent jobs.
It was reported that the construction of the Kaikhon complex began in March 2018 as part of the worthy preparation for the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of Tajikistan, with the involvement of 200 domestic specialists. The facility was completed on schedule in July 2025, in compliance with modern architectural and national traditions.
