On July 8, in the presence and with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, an Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by NIAT "Khovar" with reference to the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The agreement was signed with the aim of strengthening friendly relations and expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.
The document promotes expanded cooperation in developing and promoting joint routes, including regional brands of historical and cultural significance, such as the Great Silk Road, ensuring mutual benefit based on mutual respect and common interests.
The Agreement also provides for the holding of forums, exhibitions and other joint events with the participation of government agencies and the private sector.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation in the areas of exchange of experience, personnel training, management of tourism infrastructure, attracting investment and development of transport innovations.
It was emphasized that cooperation between government agencies, tourism companies and other relevant structures is considered an important element for the effective implementation of the Agreement.
