In the Rudaki district, 933 cases of violation of electricity usage rules were identified in January-May of this year. The amount of damage reportedly exceeded 931 thousand somoni. This was announced during a meeting of the district chairman Abdugaffor Hikmatullozoda with the management and employees of the Rudaki-2 distribution networks, NIAT Khovar reports.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of legislation in the energy sector, reducing electricity losses and taking measures to prevent violations.
It was noted that, on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, local authorities must intensify efforts to prevent energy losses.
"The total debt of the district's subscribers to the power grids is more than 211 million somoni, most of which is accounted for by the population and enterprises. Over the five months of this year, more than 257 million kWh of electricity was transmitted to the grid, of which 72 million kWh are commercial losses," it was noted during the meeting.
