Israel has agreed to the conditions necessary to implement a 60-day ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, US President Donald Trump said, Interfax reports.
"Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to complete the process of reaching a 60-day ceasefire agreement during which we will work with all parties to end the war," Trump wrote on The Truth Social.
He noted that US officials had "a long and productive meeting with the Israelis on Gaza" on Tuesday.
"I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas will agree to this deal, because it will not get better – it will only get worse," the American leader emphasized.
Trump added that Qatar and Egypt would present a proposal for a ceasefire.
