Rescuers of the Special Search and Rescue Service Department of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan have found and extracted the body of a citizen of the Russian Federation from a hard-to-reach mountainous area of the Varzob district. This was reported by the press service of the Committee.
According to available information, the Russian was flying an aircraft in a mountainous area, but the equipment failed, causing him to fall into a difficult-to-reach and dangerous area, where he died.
The operation to search and evacuate the deceased was carried out under the leadership of the head of the Special Search and Rescue Service Department, Colonel Kurbonzoda Izzat. Using mountaineering equipment, specialists were able to reach the scene of the incident and hand over the body to relatives and competent authorities.
It is noted that the Search and Rescue Service Department of the Emergency Situations Committee is the only specialized unit in the country that has the necessary professional training and technical means to work in the difficult mountain conditions of Tajikistan.
According to Colonel Kurbonzoda, the Committee’s employees, taking into account the mountainous terrain and the peculiarities of the area, perform their duties with a high level of professionalism and are ready to provide the necessary assistance under any circumstances.
