On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the leaders and activists of the Vanj district, the press service of the head of state reported.
The head of state summed up the results of his working visit to the Vanj district and set specific tasks for activists to expand improvement work and to properly celebrate the national holiday of the 35th anniversary of State independence.
Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the residents and entrepreneurs of the Vanj district for their valuable contribution to the development and progress of their homeland.
It was emphasized that within the framework of the improvement and construction plan for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, 84 social and industrial facilities and buildings have been built and renovated in the Vanj district to date, and another 38 facilities should be built and commissioned by the celebration of the anniversary.
The head of state recalled the achievements of residents in overcoming the communication impasse and called the builders’ contribution to this important work valuable.
The President of the country Emomali Rahmon noted the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the progress and development of the Vanj district during the years of independence and noted that more than 2.7 billion somoni were allocated from all sources of funding to ensure the socio-economic development of the district.
It was noted that 14 state investment projects worth 311 million somoni have been implemented in the district, and at present, 7 more projects are being implemented to further improve the well-being of the district's residents, improve and develop it, within the framework of which 391 million somoni have been spent to date. The mentioned projects are mainly aimed at building and equipping schools, strengthening infrastructure to ensure resilience to natural disasters, providing electricity to rural areas, as well as reconstructing and modernizing highways.
The President of the country analyzed all areas of the economy in the region and set specific tasks for the relevant ministries and departments, executive bodies of state power of the region and district for the further continuation of creative measures.
In particular, the heads of the region and district, together with the relevant ministries and departments, were instructed to ensure the construction of industrial enterprises and take the necessary measures to improve the efficiency of energy supply to consumers and the sustainability of the system in the district by the 35th anniversary of independence.
In connection with the development of the agricultural sector, responsible structures were instructed to take measures to attract domestic and foreign investment to establish processing of agricultural products, create a modern center for storing and packaging products, pay great attention to improving the melioration condition of agricultural lands, developing new lands and increasing the yield of agricultural crops.
The head of state instructed the executive body of state power of the district, together with the relevant republican structures, to take practical measures to overcome existing problems in the field of education.
Other instructions were also given to adapt the conditions of healthcare institutions to modern requirements, provide them with modern equipment and repair medical institutions.
Recalling the rapidly changing situation in the modern world and other global problems, Emomali Rahmon instructed the heads and activists of the districts, the chairmen of jamoats and mahallas, the intelligentsia, as well as respected and experienced people to instruct the people, especially the youth, to strengthen peace and stability, respect for the rule of law and order, that is, the rule of law, creation and improvement, thrift and frugality.
The head of state demanded that activists attach primary and constant importance to performing good human deeds, including supporting orphans and the disabled, poor families and the proper upbringing of children.
The country's President Emomali Rahmon instructed the relevant ministries and departments to renovate and pave the road in the village of Yazgulom in the Vanj district at the expense of budget funds.
