During his working visit, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma visited the Roshtkal district in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), where he got acquainted with the progress of construction of the Sebzor hydroelectric power station (HPP). This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
During the visit, representatives of the contractor presented a detailed report on the current state of construction work and the process of installing technical equipment at the site. According to them, the commissioning of the first unit of the station with a capacity of 3.6 megawatts is scheduled for the third ten days of June 2025. Preparatory work for its trial launch is in its final stage.
The Sebzor hydroelectric power station with a total installed capacity of 11 megawatts is one of the key strategic infrastructure projects aimed at ensuring stable and reliable power supply to remote mountainous areas of the country. After full commissioning, the hydroelectric power station will play an important role in the continuous supply of electricity to the population, as well as social and economic institutions of the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
During the inspection of the facility, Minister Daler Juma emphasized the importance of the project for the region’s energy security and expressed confidence in the timely completion of all work according to the established deadlines.
