On the night of Wednesday, June 11, Russia once again attacked Kharkov with attack UAVs. As a result of the enemy strikes, two people were killed. Fires broke out in the Slobodsky and Osnovyansky districts. Rescuers, police, doctors and utility services are working on the ground. Rescue work, evacuation of residents and liquidation of the consequences are continuing.
The State Emergency Service also showed the consequences of enemy strikes on Kharkov. The information is being clarified. The number of injured has already reached 54 people, the State Emergency Service reports.
According to rescuers, at least 8 children are among the injured. Multi-story buildings, the private sector, a civilian enterprise and other objects were damaged.
Mayor Igor Terekhov clarified that from 00:31 to 00:40 the enemy launched a strike with 17 "shahed" type attack drones on two districts of Kharkov – Slobodskoy and Osnovyansky.
"There are direct hits on multi-story buildings, private homes, playgrounds, businesses and public transport. Burning apartments, destroyed roofs, burnt-out cars, broken windows," he added.
Trolleybuses, contact lines, utility and industrial facilities were also damaged. Utility and emergency services, volunteers are working non-stop – eliminating the consequences, helping the victims, restoring the supply of gas, electricity and water.
"We are holding on. We are helping each other. And we will definitely stand firm. Kharkov is Ukraine. And it cannot be broken," Terekhov added.
