On the night of June 9, Russia launched 499 drones and missiles at Ukraine, and air defense neutralized 479 enemy targets.
This was announced by the head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat on the air of the national telethon
From 20:00 on June 8, the Russian Federation attacked Omsk:
— 479 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of simulator drones from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russian Federation;
— 4 aeroballistic missiles Kh-47 M2 "Dagger" from Tambov region;
— 10 X-101 cruise missiles from the Saratov region;
— 3 X-22 cruise missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea;
— 2 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea;
– 1 X-35 cruise missile from the Crimean Autonomous Republic.
The spokesman for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, noted on television that the enemy’s main attack that night was directed at one of the Ukrainian operational airfields.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:30, air defense neutralized 479 enemy air attack weapons, 292 were shot down by fire weapons, 187 were lost to location:
— 277 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (drones of other types) were shot down by fire, 183 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare;
— 10 X-101 cruise missiles;
— 4 aeroballistic missiles Kh-47 M2 "Dagger";
— 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles — did not reach their targets (location lost);
— 2 anti-radar missiles Kh-31P;
– 1 X-35 cruise missile.
Enemy air strikes were recorded in 10 locations, and downed aircraft (debris) fell in 17 locations.
On the night of June 9 and in the morning, the Rivne region was subjected to a powerful attack by the enemy with drones and missiles. Air defense was operating in the region. There are no consequences for civilian infrastructure, local authorities reported in the morning.
