The Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic signed a Protocol on the exchange of preliminary information on the movement of goods and vehicles. The document was signed by the Head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Khurshed Karimzoda and the Chairman of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Saliev. This was reported by the press service of the Tajik department.
The agreement creates a legal basis for prompt and effective information exchange between the customs authorities of the two countries. According to the parties, this will increase the transparency of procedures, strengthen control over the movement of goods, and reduce the risks of illegal transactions.
The document was signed during the visit of the Tajik delegation to the Issyk-Kul region and participation in the 80th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS Member States.
The protocol aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of risk management, development of transit potential, simplification of procedures in border areas and harmonization of customs regulations with international standards.
The parties expressed confidence that the implementation of the provisions of the Protocol will contribute to the growth of mutual trust, strengthening of economic partnership and further integration at the regional level.
