On May 28, the XXXII meeting of the Advisory Council of the Heads of Consular Services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS Member States was held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the Tajik side. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.



During the meeting, the participants discussed issues of implementing the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 24 April 1963 and bilateral consular conventions. An exchange of views also took place on cooperation within the framework of the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases of 7 October 2002.
In this context, the prospects for the transition to an electronic format of consular services, recognition of electronic documents and electronic signatures of officials of the competent authorities of the CIS member states were considered.
