The damage from earthquakes in the Rasht and Tajikabad districts of Tajikistan amounted to 17.78 million somoni. This was reported by the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic.
According to updated data, damage in the Rasht district is estimated at 9.21 million somoni, in Tajikabad – at 7.77 million. As a result of the disaster, more than 1,300 families (5,639 people in total) suffered. 67 residential buildings were completely destroyed, 280 were partially destroyed, and another 321 houses received minor damage. In addition, 146 outbuildings, educational and healthcare facilities, power lines, roads and irrigation structures were damaged.
The country's authorities continue to send humanitarian aid to the victims. Earlier, another humanitarian cargo arrived in the Rasht region.
The first earthquake was recorded on April 13, its epicenter was 160 km northeast of Dushanbe, the magnitude at the epicenter was 5-6. Four more tremors occurred during the day.
