At the initiative of the Pakistani side, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ishaq Dar. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of Tajik-Pakistani relations and expressed interest in their further strengthening. Particular attention was paid to the preparation and coordination of upcoming contacts at the highest level.
The ministers exchanged views on issues of regional security, trade and economic cooperation, as well as other pressing issues on the international agenda.
The parties confirmed their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial partnership on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
