The Tajikistan-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Business and Investment Forum was held in the capital of Tajikistan. The event took place on May 20 in Dushanbe and became an important step in strengthening bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries, NIAT Khovar reports.
The forum was attended by representatives of business and investment circles of both countries, including high-ranking officials and heads of large companies. Participants discussed current areas of cooperation, exchanged experiences and expressed interest in implementing joint projects.





Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda noted that holding the forum is a sustainable step towards attracting Saudi investments to the economy of the republic. According to him, Tajikistan has significant potential in the areas of hydropower, mining and tourism.
President of the Federation of Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Hassan Al-Khuwaizi, who led the delegation from Riyadh, stressed the importance of strengthening business ties. He expressed confidence that mutual cooperation could become a solid foundation for the implementation of large-scale investment projects and the intensification of trade and economic relations.



The parties paid special attention to the issues of financing infrastructure projects, developing "green" energy, establishing interbank relations and exchanging technologies. The possibilities of creating joint funds and enterprises were also discussed.
The forum included a B2B meeting of business representatives from both countries. Following the meeting, a number of agreements on cooperation in priority sectors of the economy were signed.
The forum confirmed the readiness of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia to expand business partnership and became another step towards strengthening strategic economic ties.
