Of these, 550 million dollars were directed to support the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station: 150 million were provided directly by the IDB, and another 400 million by Arab development funds with the assistance of the bank.
Zavqizoda expressed gratitude for the financial and expert assistance, emphasizing the importance of further increasing investments in key sectors of the economy. The priority areas include "green" energy, transport infrastructure, irrigation systems, education, industry, trade, as well as the development of the Islamic and traditional banking sectors. The implementation of the Partnership Strategy between Tajikistan and the IDB for 2023-2026 was also discussed.
In turn, Dr. Al-Jasser confirmed the bank’s commitment to further deepening cooperation and expressed readiness to expand the volume of financing for new projects aimed at the sustainable development of Tajikistan’s economy.
