An information and explanatory meeting for Tajik citizens — labor migrants — was held in Kazan, during which representatives of the Tajik diplomatic mission acquainted the participants with changes in the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of migration and labor protection. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event took place in the prayer house of the PORT Shopping Center. The meeting was organized to increase the legal literacy of labor migrants and provide them with support in matters of official employment and compliance with migration regulations.
During the meeting, representatives of the diplomatic department spoke in detail about the new provisions of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 1126 of December 30, 2024 and subsequent amendments introduced by Decree No. 272 of April 28, 2025. The documents regulate the procedure for settling the legal status of foreign citizens and the deadlines for the official registration of documents, which must be completed by September 10, 2025.



Particular attention was paid to the need to conclude an employment contract with the employer before starting work, as well as compliance with safety requirements in the workplace and sanitary and hygienic standards to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. The migrants were also explained the procedure for registering temporary residence and registration in Russia.
In addition, the meeting participants were provided with information about new rules concerning the legal status of family members of migrants, the procedure for obtaining education in kindergartens and schools in the host country, as well as other important aspects related to adaptation and legalization in Russia.
During the event, migrants were given advice on how to counter modern threats, such as the activities of terrorist and extremist organizations, crime prevention, and sanitary and hygienic safety measures.
Following the meeting, citizens of Tajikistan had the opportunity to ask questions regarding migration procedures, to which they received comprehensive answers from representatives of the diplomatic mission.
