A group of drug dealers with 16 kg of hashish and aphion were detained in Dushanbe

Employees of the Department for the Prevention of Juvenile and Youth Delinquency of the Dushanbe City Department of Internal Affairs have stopped the activities of an organized criminal group involved in the transportation and distribution of narcotics.

As reported by the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs, during operational and investigative activities, three residents of the country were detained while attempting to transport a large consignment of drugs: Sadi Olimov, Azizdzhon Arzumuradov and Sukhrob Yuldashev.

During a personal search and a search of the vehicle used by the detainees, 16 kilograms of narcotic substances were discovered and confiscated, including hashish and afion.

According to preliminary information, the detainees were involved in the delivery of drugs to Dushanbe for subsequent sale.

Criminal cases have been initiated against the above individuals under Part 4 of Article 200 (“Illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in especially large quantities”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. They are currently in custody, and further investigation is underway to establish the supply channels and other participants in the criminal scheme.

The Dushanbe City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that the fight against illegal drug trafficking remains one of the priority areas in ensuring public safety and law and order.
